In 1996 while living in a flat in Camden I painted a still life in my bedroom not knowing that it would become the backdrop of my future family’s life. After the birth of my first child in 2002 the painting followed us to our new home.

It has remained the only constant in the ever evolving chaos of our sitting room. It moved up and down the wall - on one occassion temporarily disappearing.

It has watched over us as my children have grown up and Michael and I have grown old.
